Known to novices and master anglers alike as the “Fishing Capital of Texas”, Port Aransas can offer challenges and rewards to those who cast rod and reels. Birdwatching

Come and visit the “Birdiest Spot in Texas”, Leonabelle Turnbull’s Birding Center is home to native coastal wetlands and all the creatures that inhabit it. Free guided tours are a hidden gem, as visitors may spot birds, alligators, fish and more. The Great Texas Coastal birding trail winds through over 40 Texas counties, encompassing the entire coastal region. Fishing isn’t the only way to get to know the coastal bend. While dolphins abound as Port Aransas is one of the best places to go Dolphin sightseeing in the United States, they aren’t the only creatures you’ll run into!
